SCREAMO TIME. screamo is one of my favorite genres of hardcore music and is definitely the music scene i'm the most active in. there's a bit of silly stories in here and LOTS of really good tunes! sound from: Fiesta Bizarra, nu, awakebutstillinbed, febuary, In Loving Memory, nuvolascura, sowithout., and foxtails!!!

| 4.29.2025 | [EP 4 ^.^!!]:GOOD DAY ZIPPYNATION, today 'emo hour' has been uploaded! I know I'm not supposed to say this, but this episode was my favorite one by far. The hour went by so insanely quickly and I had one of my good friends ovo in the station with me, so we were just jamming out and chatting in between songs. I wanna give a big big thanks to the bands Eldritch Anisette and sweetmess for reaching out and interacting with my show! This absolutely made my day and reminded me of why I wanted to do this in the first place! :,,,,) I didn't share many submissions from the form in this episode, but keep an eye pout for the next one, we got some silly stories coming up! | 4.7.2025 | [EP 1!!!]: HELLO zippynators, today marks two days since our first episode and I've just uploaded the drive with the audio recording from episode one and the first edition of the loud hour zine! we had a bit of technical difficulties for the first ep but things still went pretty smoothly! next episode will be even better >,< this experience has been wonderful so far and i can't wait to share more with you all. please keep on submitting stuff, so far i have over 15 responses I'm gonna try to squeeze into the rest of the nine episodes and i wouldn't have it any other way! these submissions rock! ^,^ episode 2 theme reveal coming soon on thursday! stay tuned ;))) |

| 3.28.2025 | [WE HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED]: BIG NEWS ZIPPY NATION! as of this morning, Loud Hour has been approved by UCLA radio programming! we have officially secured our spot ~ saturdays @ 10 AM~ and will get things started on air saturday of week one (4.5.2025) we got some punk stuff coming up for the first episode ~in great honor of my youth~ so be on the lookout for that! ZIPPY'S MISSION
THIS HERE PROJECT is dedicated to spotlighting local scenes and the broader alternative music community in socal. I would love to build more of a hardcore/screamo community on campus, connect with others in the scene, and try my best to document amazing musicians!
zippys basement--named after basement DIY-- is an all-inclusive space that does not tolerate any kind of racism, bullying, homophobia, transphobia, and all the -isms. Along with UCLA radio, I stand with Palestine and the SJP chapter on campus, this will never change.
